Winning Way policies
DMCA copyright policy
This policy explains how copyright owners can report material on Winning Way that they believe uses their protected work without permission, and how affected contributors can respond to a removal request.
Copyright notice
Winning Way respects the intellectual property rights of writers, photographers, artists, publishers and other creators. Articles, photographs, illustrations, graphics and other materials published on this blog may be protected by copyright or related rights. If you are a copyright owner or an authorised representative and believe that content available through this website infringes your rights, you may submit a written takedown notice using the contact details provided below.
Before submitting a notice, please review the material carefully and consider whether the use may be covered by a licence, permission, quotation exception or another applicable legal provision. A complete and sufficiently detailed report helps us identify the material and assess the issue fairly.
Information required
To help us review a copyright complaint, include the following information in your written notice:
- Identify the copyrighted work that you believe has been infringed. If several works are involved, provide a representative list and enough detail to distinguish each one.
- Identify the material you are reporting and provide the exact page URL or other information that allows us to locate it on Winning Way.
- Provide your full name, postal address, telephone number and email address so that we can contact you about the report.
- Explain why you believe the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the applicable law, and confirm that you have a good-faith belief that the use is infringing.
- Confirm that the information in your notice is accurate and, under applicable law, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on behalf of the owner of the rights concerned.
- Include your physical or electronic signature, together with your name and any relevant representative capacity.
Please provide enough supporting information to make the reported material identifiable. Incomplete or unclear submissions may require additional details before a meaningful review can take place.
Counter-notice
If content you supplied was removed or restricted because of a copyright complaint and you believe that the action resulted from a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice. Your response should identify the material that was removed, describe where it appeared before removal and explain why you believe the restriction was incorrect.
Include your full contact information, a statement explaining your position and any relevant evidence of ownership, permission, licensing or another legal basis for the use. A counter-notice should also contain any declarations and signature required under the applicable legal procedure. We may request further information where necessary to assess the response.
Review process
Winning Way reviews sufficiently detailed copyright notices as promptly as reasonably possible. Depending on the circumstances, we may temporarily remove or restrict access to the disputed material while the claim is being assessed. We may also contact the person who submitted the material or forward relevant parts of the complaint so that they can understand and respond to the allegation.
Each report is considered on the information available. Submitting a notice does not automatically establish infringement, and a counter-notice does not guarantee that removed material will be restored. We reserve the right to take appropriate action where a claim is substantiated, including removing content, limiting access or declining to republish material that continues to raise legitimate copyright concerns.
Repeated submissions containing knowingly false or misleading information may be taken into account when handling future reports. Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies available under applicable copyright law.
Responsible use of published material
Visitors may share links to Winning Way articles, but copying, republishing or commercially distributing substantial portions of our original content without permission may infringe applicable rights. Where you wish to quote or reference an article, use only the amount reasonably necessary, provide clear attribution and link to the original publication where appropriate.
If you would like to request permission to reproduce an article, photograph or other material, contact us with the page URL, a description of the content and details of how you intend to use it. Permission must be obtained before any use that requires authorisation.
